Christopher Diodato, CFA, CMT, CFP®

Chris is the founder of WELLth Financial Planning.  Chris began his career as an investment analyst specializing in asset allocation research and creating custom strategies for institutional investors and hedge funds. An enthusiastic student of the market, he completed the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Chartered Market Technician (CMT), and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designations all before age 30. He climbed the ranks to become the lead portfolio manager for an independent advisory firm in Pittsburgh, charged with strategy development and portfolio management for the firm’s $200 million book of business.

Chris’s mind rarely took breaks, publishing algorithms to win the Charles H. Dow Award in 2019 for his seminal work, “Making the Most of Panic,” which proposed quantitative methods to identify extreme negative sentiment within equity markets as well as the often coinciding buying opportunities during market panics. In 2020, he founded WELLth Financial Planning to deliver comprehensive financial planning and investment management services to both retirees and tomorrow’s leaders.  His specialty is creating customized tax-reduction, investment-optimization, and lifetime income strategies to make early retirement goals a reality.
